Microsoft Edge For iOS Is Updated With Some New Features And 3D Touch Support

In addition to improving many aspects to becoming an impressive browser on the Android platform, Microsoft also focused on developing the version of Microsoft Edge for iOS. In the latest update to the browser (beta) for the iOS platform, Microsoft has added a slew of new features, most notably the 3D Touch support.

This update for the iOS version has a version number of 41.7. After upgrading, this browser will have 3D Touch features for supported devices.

With 3D Touch, users can access and quickly perform some basic tasks right from the Microsoft Edge icon on the main screen, including:

  • Open a new tab
  • Open new incognito tab
  • Search by voice
  • QR scanner

In addition to 3D Touch support, this update also allows Microsoft Edge to support a number of other password management applications from the Share menu, typically LastPass and 1Password. Thanks to this feature, users can quickly fill in login information (username/password) during surfing.

The update is currently only available for the Microsoft Edge preview, promising to be officially released in a few days.

Once you have migrated to the US and registered for the Apple TestFlight program, you can download and experience the Microsoft Edge preview from the App Store. You can get quick access by opening the link below:
