Xiaomi Announces Smart Watch With Battery That Lasts Up To Five Days

Xiaomi has become one of the biggest selling wearables companies in the world. This is due in part to Huami’s products, a sub-brand focused on smartwatches. This time, she is announcing two new smartwatches.

Let’s start with Huami Amazfit 2 (also known as Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2). It features a 1.34-inch touchscreen with 300 x 320 resolution.

Inside, we have a dual-core processor of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. The highlight is the 280 mAh battery, which lasts up to 5 days of use (or 35 hours with active GPS).

Amazfit 2 runs proprietary Watch 2.0 operating system instead of Android Wear. It can receive notifications from iPhone and Android and has other features you’d expect from a smartwatch – including tracking your steps and measuring your heart rate.

It can also be used during swimming, detecting how many laps you have wandered in the pool, and what type of swimming (crawl, backstroke, butterfly). It has a resistance of 5 ATM, that is, it can be submerged up to 50 m deep.

We also have the new Amazfit Watch 2S, with sapphire crystal screen and leather strap. He also receives notifications from the cell phone, has 5 ATM resistance and follows his steps, but does not have his own GPS or heart rate monitor.

It is possible that they reach more countries. For example, last year, Huami launched Amazonfit Pace in the US for $129.
