iOS 13.1 and iPadOS debuted on 24 September at around 10:30 pm in India.
Apple has released iOS 13.1 for all compatible iPhone and iPod touch models. The release comes just less than a week after the debut of iOS 13. Unlike the iOS 13, iOS 13.1 will not bring a list of new features or changes to your Apple device. However, you can expect tons of bug fixes and also some performance improvements.
Other than iOS 13.1, the Tech giant is bringing iPadOS which is the first iteration of its iPad-exclusive operating system. The much anticipated iPadOS update will bring several advancements to Apple iPad models.
The update will include Slide Over and Split View to take your multitasking experience to new levels. Also, there will be a redesigned Home screen to offer much more on your iPad than what’s available on your iPhone.
The iOS 13.1 updates will be available for download on all iPhone models starting from the iPhone 6s and the 7th-Gen iPod touch. The complete list of compatible iOS 13.1 devices is – the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, and the 7th-Gen iPod touch. The new update also comes preloaded on the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
iPadOS is compatible with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 11-inch iPad Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad (7th generation), iPad (6th generation), iPad (5th generation), iPad mini (5th generation), the iPad mini 4, iPad Air (3rd- gen), and the iPad Air 2.
The download methods of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS are almost the same. You can download the latest version on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad by going to the Settings menu. We suggest you back up your data before going for the download. Your device should also have an adequate amount of battery charge to start the update.
Step 1: First of all Go to Settings > General > Software Update. It will check the new updates on your Apple device. Once iOS 13.1 or iPadOS is available for your device. Then, you will see a screen that will ask to begin the download process.
Step 2: Now, Click on Download and Install to begin the download process. It will begin the download process of iOS 13.1 or iPadOS.
Step 3: Once the download is complete, tap Install to begin the installation of iOS 13.1 or iPadOS on your device.
Step 4: Click on Agree when you see Apple’s Terms and Conditions in terms of new software package and its features.
Step 5: You have to restart your device to complete the software installation.
If you wish to not to download the iOS 13.1 or iPadOS through your Apple device directly for some reason or other. You can use iTunes on your system to download iOS 13.1 or iPadOS. all you need is a PC or Mac with the latest iTunes version installed to download the latest software package.
Step 1: Firstly connect your compatible iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad to your computer using the Lightning cable.
Step 2: Open iTunes and then your device’s icon will be visible near the top-left corner. Just Tap that icon and then on the Summary from the left pane.
Step 3: Now you will see a Check for update button. Then, click on that button to find the latest update for your device.
Step 4: Tap on the Download and update button and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the download process.
Step 5: Restart your device to complete the installation and you are ready to go.
