Redmi 8A price in India was revealed during the launch event of Xiaomi recently held. An online launch show is hosted by Xiaomi for the official introduction of the phone. The first market to get this device is the Indian market. The device is still not launched in China, the Xiaomi’s home market, or any other country.
The budget smartphone is now taking on the Realme C2 and the Samsung Galaxy M10. It is a budget smartphone and Xiaomi is claiming that it is one of the best phones under Rs. 7,000. The launch of Redmi 8 was also teased during this event by Xiaomi. Redmi 8 is another smartphone by Xiaomi that has not launched in any other market so far. The price of Redmi 8 in India or its specifications is unknown until now. However, somehow we know that Redmi 8 is Xiaomi’s next smartphone to launch in India.

Redmi 8A comes in two variants 2GB RAM with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. The price of Redmi 8A in India for the 2GB RAM variant is Rs. 6,499 only and Redmi 8A 3GB RAM variant price in India is Rs. 6,999 only. It will be available from September 29, 11:59 am on Flipkart and Mi.com.
Redmi 8A specifications:
The device has one 12-megapixel rear camera but supports portrait mode. Xiaomi has been boasting the camera capabilities of this smartphone. The company kept comparing it with Samsung Galaxy M10, and Realme C2 during the launch video. The Smartphone has an 8-megapixel front camera. It has a splash-proof P2i coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front.
The smartphone has a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a dot notch. The device comes with a 5,000mAh battery and a USB Type-C port along with 18W fast charging support. The device has Snapdragon 439 SoC processor. The phone features 2GB RAM with 32GB storage on the base variant. The higher variant comes in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. The device comes with a dual-SIM slot along with a dedicated microSD card slot.
You can extend the storage up to 512GB. The device has what Xiaomi calls wireless FM radio, which means you don’t need a headset to listen to FM radio stations. However, the smartphone does not have a fingerprint scanner.
